The last raptors were wiped out by a rock from space. This one saw the paperwork, bought a helmet, and went to the launch site to file a complaint.

Why “Raptor”

Raptor is the engine SpaceX built for Starship — a full-flow staged combustion engine burning methane and liquid oxygen, the first of its kind ever to fly.

It is also why this entire page is blue. Methalox burns blue-violet, not the orange you get from kerosene. The palette isn’t a brand decision. It’s the flame colour.

The dinosaur came second. Once you name a token after an engine that was named after a dinosaur, the mascot writes itself.
